Primrose Lake Air Range, Alberta, Canada

The claim: 70 miles northeast of Edmonton.

What it really is: First, the base is called Canadian Forces Lake Cold Lake, not Primrose Lake Air Range.

While the base does have several large buildings there, most of them are either hangers or other support facilities for the base itself. There is also civilian housing there and a cadet summer training facility there too.

  1. Not quite accurate: The Primrose Lake Air Weapons Range, while being a part of 4 Wing Cold Lake operations, is a distinct Canadian Forces location and is used as both a live fire location for AETE as well as during the annual Maple Flag exercises.
